Your Michigan CPL Is the Beginning, Not the Finish Line
Earning your Michigan Concealed Pistol License is an important step, but a CPL class should be viewed as the foundation of your training—not the end of it.
A CPL course introduces essential topics like firearm safety, basic marksmanship, responsible handling, and the legal considerations surrounding concealed carry. But carrying a firearm responsibly requires skills that can only be developed through continued practice and quality follow-on training.
Additional training gives Michigan CPL holders the opportunity to improve handgun fundamentals while learning more challenging skills such as drawing from concealment, shooting from different positions, managing malfunctions, working around barriers, and making decisions under pressure.
Most importantly, continued training helps you better understand your own abilities and limitations. Owning and carrying a firearm doesn't automatically create proficiency—training, practice, and repetition do.
At Great Lakes Training Solutions, we want Michigan CPL holders to continue building upon that initial foundation and become safer, more confident, and more capable firearm owners.
Your CPL gives you the opportunity to carry. Your training determines how prepared you are.
